About Me

Matt Vinzant
My name is Matt Vinzant, I am 26 years old. I was born and raised in Florida, and I have spent most of my life exploring the outdoors. I began SCUBA diving at 12 and this was an instant infatuation. At 13 I was introduced to cavern diving, I was the youngest cavern diver with the NACD. Later that same year a family friend, Brian Williams took me dry caving. For years my family's weekends and vacations revolved around caving, diving, and camping. Two years later I became cave certified, and I did a ton of diving. I built my own sidemount rig and mentored with some excellent divers. Around this same time I began sherpaing on sump trips throughout the Southeast US. After several grueling trips hauling tanks through caves, I began sump diving myself. Currently, I work at Deep Six Divers, I have been for 8 years. I spend nearly every weekend exploring backwoods Florida. Along the way I have met some incredible people and seen amazing things that no other person has. I am excited for the adventures my future holds, I will share some here with you.
